There are many things you can do at home to regularly check your dog's health.
Checking your dog's heart health is quite simple.
Have your dog lie on it's back (if possible), otherwise keep your dog standing still and find the pulse with your fingers under the chest or at the base of the leg (where it joins the body).
Count how many beats you get in one minute.
A healthy dog will have between 100 - 150 beats per minute.
